Just Relax, Will You?

The Art Of Relaxation: A Collection Of Irresistably Soothing MusicAmong the best ideas to dwell on is how to relax effectively. Because this is fast becoming a lost art--in fact so few know genuine relaxation. And relaxation is not outdated in a modern world of rush and heavy traffic--because it's, in fact, easy to just relax while amid stress.

How? Well, I found this secret--laugh. You know, I should be selling this secret in sales emails and charge about $50 per. Problem is, I don't know how selling through emails works. And I don't wanna make a problem of that, so I just relax and share my ideas here. Okay, so just relax and laugh off your problems--no matter how serious.

Just the other day, our house help came running from the community chapel shouting, "Help, Choy! Your mom just suddenly fell unconscious in church!" How to relax effectively with that news was beyond me at first. I panicked for one second (can you do that?) and then decided to just relax. Why? Well, lots of people fall unconscious in church. Just watch healing crusades on TV. So, just relax, will you?

My mom has a heart problem, and at 87 the problem can erupt to uncontrollable proportions any time. when our house help started crying in the street as she ran to get help, I figured--if my mom's heart stopped beating so that she suddenly fell in church, what would panicking do to help? NOTHING. So I told myself at once, "Just relax, will you?" Relaxation in a stressful situation gets you lots more help in your brain. While pacing quickly to the chapel to see what happened, I talked to God--"We didn't talk about this, God. This wasn't any part of the deal. Remember?"

Relax: Effectively Manage Stress (Healthy Living Guide)

So, where was the part when I laughed? When I saw my mom lying in a pew, several old women fanning her with religious-looking manual fans, and then God whispering, "Ask her if she had breakfast," too casually. So I asked her and she said, "No." That's when I laughed and started making fun of the situation with my siblings who looked scared as hell. All my mom needed was candy and biscuits. See? There, I knew how to relax effectively in the face of terrible stress by merely talking to the right guy and laughing. No sweat!
